They DO NOT tick and appear not to be working as the quartz pulse is only every 60 seconds. Unlike a Standard Quartz that rotates 360 degrees in 12 hours. A Day Movement requires 168 Hours to accomplish the same rotation.
In Operation: set the Indicator hand to the desired position, then insert a fresh battery in the correct polarity.
